“Restoring Your Relationship With Food, Others and Self

Have you ever wanted to lose weight, gain control over your eating habits, and have more energy without serious deprivation?

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard of intermittent fasting. If you haven’t, it is basically a way of eating where you fast anywhere from 12-48 hours and you eat during a 6-12 hour window.  The most common times to fast are 12, 14, 16, and 18-hour windows. For example; you have a fasting window from 8pm-8am, and then you eat from 8am-8pm. The same structure applies to a 14, 16, and 18-hour fast. Some people choose to do intermittent fasting in a way that allows them to fast for two days out of the week and eat for the other five, but this isn’t as popular as the ones I just named above.

One of the reasons intermittent fasting has become such a popular way of eating is because it’s an effective way to burn body fat. After a certain time period of not eating, our bodies kick into starvation mode and begin to tap into our body fat for energy because we’re not feeding it anything new.  By remaining consistent at this, our bodies become effective at burning fat as fuel and the weight begins to come off with no problem.

I know this works because I’ve done it myself.  I did intermittent fasting using the 16:8 method, meaning; I fasted for 16 hours and I ate during an 8-hour window.  I would take in all of my calories from 11am-7pm, and from 7pm-11am, I would fast. During my 8-hour feeding window, I stuck to mainly whole, nutritious food and I avoided snacking on junk food, no matter how tempted I was.  After a period of time of doing this, the weight began to fall off! Not only that, because I had become accustomed to fasting for 16 hours, my appetite became smaller and smaller, and even when it was time to eat, I ate less than I was eating before.

Unfortunately, I’ve fallen off of the intermittent fasting wagon lately but it’s time for me to get back on it and this time, I’m seeking an accountability partner! Last time, my husband was my partner and he’s great but I want to try something different this time! And here’s the good news: I will also be offering that accountability partner benefits! That’s right, whoever decides to join me, I will give you FREE Coaching one-on-one for TWO MONTHS.  Your feeding and fasting window times are completely up to you. It really is all about what works best for your schedule and if you need help figuring that out, that’s what I’m here for!

In addition to the free coaching and having an accountability partner, some of the benefits you will experience with intermittent fasting are:

  • Weight Loss
  • Improved cognitive abilities
  • More energy
  • Decrease in appetite

So, if you want to try intermittent fasting and you want the opportunity to be my, as they say in the Army, “Battle Buddy”, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Send me a video 1-2 minutes in length (no longer). In this video, share with me why you feel you’ll be the perfect candidate for free coaching and intermittent fasting.

The deadline for videos is September 5th, and you can send them to me one of the following ways:

While it comes with several benefits, intermittent fasting can be hard in the beginning because after all, you’re switching your body over to a new way of eating and burning energy when it’s been accustomed to other ways and sources of fuel probably all your life. Therefore, experiencing hunger pains and lulls in energy when you start may happen. But the benefits greatly outweigh the temporary side effects.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this crash course in intermittent fasting. I can’t wait to see who’s willing to go along on this journey with me and I can’t wait to find my accountability partner!
