Holiday Date Nights
It seems like during the holiday season we sometimes throw normal life out the window for two months in exchange for turkey, tinsel, and presents and it’s understandable. Many of us are hosting family and friends in our homes and we just want everything to be perfect. So we dedicate all of our time and energy to making our homes cozy, making sure our fridges are stocked, and just creating the best holiday experience all around. And don’t even get me started on the busyness of the season if you’re the parents of small children! Needless to say, there’s a lot going on in the months of November and December that can interrupt our normal routine. But one thing it doesn’t have to interrupt is date night with our spouse.
While getting out on the town may be a bit difficult during this time of year, there are plenty of things you can do together inside the home to make date night just as special for the two of you. So just in time for the weekend, I thought I’d share a few date night ideas with you!

- Have a holiday movie night – I have definitely been guilty of taking part in the Hallmark Movie Channel’s marathon of Christmas movies this time of year. Netflix also provides a wide variety of family friendly, uplifting, holiday-themed movies. Why not curl up with your honey with a cup of hot cocoa and a movie. Trust me, there’s enough of them to get you through the months of November and
- Spend a quiet night under the lights – Christmas lights, that is! After a hard day’s work and possibly some after work shopping to prep for Christmas, nothing beats a night cuddled up, enjoying the beauty of your Christmas décor and a fireplace if you have it! Pair this quiet evening with one of our non-alcoholic beverages and it’s pure bliss!

Date nights like this have the potential to become some of the most enjoyable and memorable moments of our lives because at the end of the day, it’s those little moments that mean so much.
